A big well done to our hip-hop crew. Even though we didn't place we still are first in our supporters eyes and to our school.
Cyber Bulling*
What is Cyber Bullying?
Cyber Bullying is a term of bullying where in our case a teenager is threatened, harassed, humiliated, intimidated, embarrassed or otherwise just targeted by another teenager or a fake person using anything technological like socialized websites, e-mail, mobile phone calls/mobile phone texting, picture/video clips, chat rooms and gaming.
What may Cyber Bullying look like?
It can look like receiving abusive text or e-mails, imitating, excluding others online, tagging others inappropriately, or posting unkind messages or inappropriate images on social websites to harm others, so all these things can make you look/feel bad. But again just as like said in the meaning of cyber bullying it’s where a teen gets threatened e.t.c by using anything technological.
Rules that’ll help you keep safe in case of going into cyber bullying:
Rule #1: Always solve problems face to face with the person you are having the problem with.
Rule #2: Assume that any message you send can be read by anyone & everyone.
Rule#3: If you’re ever bullied online, talk to an adult about it and make sure that adult listens to you and does something about it. Speak up against bullying when you see it.
Rule#4: Keep your web page private; don’t share your password.
Rule#5: Don’t give out your age, sex, location (ASL) or any other personal information to someone you met online.
Rule#6: Never post anything up that you don’t want the whole world to see and access to FOREVER.
Rule#7: Never make a threat over the internet, even as a joke.
Rule#8: Print out/Save messages of any threats you receive or see online and show them to a trusted adult.
Rule#9: If someone says or does anything to make you uncomfortable, sign off. Or again block them straight away.
Rule#10: Never meet anyone in the real world that you first met online without a safety plan approved by your parents.
Rule#11: Avoid chat rooms & NEVER go private with someone you met in a chat room.
Rule#12: Keep your webcam unplugged when you’re not using it. Never use a webcam with someone you don’t know
What are some red flags you may need to look out for just in case it’s a cyber-harasser?
They might seem to compliment you a lot.
They would try to be like your best friend.
They’ll say there older than you.
They might criticize your parents or friends.
They might want to offer you gifts, money or opportunities.
They’ll kind of start of to being nice.
Who can you get help from?
Talk to an adult (parents, teachers) who would listen to your problems.
If you've talked to your parents and it gets really really serious take it to the police.
There are some steps in this website you can follow if in position of being cyber bullied and you yet don’t know what to do http://www.wikihow.com/Deal-With-Cyber-Bullying-As-a-Child-or-Teen
